I think that this is hard to reflect on, because we are adults, but it is important to consider the ability to appropriately accommodate for individual needs. I think the variance in the debate form and worksheets were great, but maybe it could have been taken a step further, to incorporate a variety of different learning types into one. Like say if, instead of a debate, the students were, again, split into two groups, one pro and one against globalization, but have them do a mock candidacy. They could pretend they were running for an office and the make or break topic was globalization. This could give the student the ability to do all kinds of different projects from signs, to slogans, get them all involved and bringing their best qualities to the table. I did like though, that you made sure each student gave a reason for their argument when you had us debate, which is so smart! Too often, students get away with not doing or saying anything.
Although I do not remember you mention anything about accommodating to individual needs, I believe the way you paired us up into groups to research information of the topic, it would make it easier for any student that might find the task difficult. I also thought it was a good idea to have each student give their opinion because it can be very easy for certain students to get away without doing anything.
I cant remember you mentioning what accommodations you would make for an ell student or a student with a disability, it doesn't take away from the lesson. That is my only suggestion is to state clearly what accommodation could have been made.
